Administrator Isabel Casillas Guzman, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and a key advocate in President Biden’s Cabinet for America’s more than 34 million small businesses, is celebrating the successful transformation of the SBA’s customer experience through the newly enhanced MySBA digital platform.

With recent improvements to MySBA Loans, MySBA Certifications, and MySBA Learning, the agency is now progressing towards a unified, single sign-on MySBA platform aimed at delivering a seamless and user-friendly experience.

“Our focus on technological advancements has redefined how small business owners engage with the SBA. MySBA reflects my commitment as Administrator to adopting an entrepreneurial mindset similar to the businesses we serve, providing customer-centric, technology-driven solutions that maximize the value of every interaction with America’s entrepreneurs,” said Administrator Guzman.

“Under the Biden-Harris Administration, we have worked diligently over the past four years to enhance accessibility to government services and redefine the customer experience for hardworking Americans, including our small business owners. By collaborating directly with small business owners, we have designed this digital platform to better address their evolving needs and equip them with the necessary tools to start, grow, and sustain successful businesses.”

This initiative represents the culmination of a multi-year effort to revolutionize how SBA customers access and engage with the agency's resources. It sets the stage for a comprehensive digital access point to all SBA programs and services.

The enhanced, user-friendly digital experience aims to improve efficiency, expedite processing times, and increase transparency.

Key accomplishments from the past year include:

MySBA Loans:

  • Introduction of new features that enable users to apply for disaster loans, connect with SBA-approved lenders via Lender Match, and efficiently manage existing SBA loans with mobile-friendly capabilities and recurring payment options.

  • A 50% reduction in processing time from application to disaster loan disbursement. Following a 67-day Congressional funding lapse for the SBA’s Disaster Loan Program, the SBA successfully issued more than 21,000 loan offers totaling $1.5 billion within six hours of President Biden signing the American Relief Act, 2025.

MySBA Certifications:

  • Streamlined certification processes, resulting in a 40% reduction in application time for single certifications and a 70% reduction for multiple certifications.

  • Approval of more than 1,300 small business federal contracting certification applications since the launch of MySBA Certifications in October 2024, allowing small business owners to apply for multiple certifications through a single login and application.

MySBA Learning:

  • Centralization of the SBA’s extensive online entrepreneurial development content, with ongoing enhancements to learning modules designed to help small business owners start, grow, and adapt to the evolving global market.

These improvements have been integrated into a centralized customer interface that unifies multiple SBA programs and services into a collaborative support ecosystem, providing small business owners with enhanced features and greater accessibility.

This digital transformation effort aligns with President Biden’s December 2021 Executive Order on Transforming Federal Customer Experience and Service Delivery to Rebuild Trust in Government.

Additionally, MySBA supports the objectives outlined in the President’s Management Agenda, the 21st Century Integrated Digital Experience Act, and various directives from the White House Office of Management and Budget, including OMB Circular A-11, Section 280, and Memorandum 23-22, which emphasize a digital-first approach to public service delivery.
